If you are one of the many people around the world wondering exactly what a "Blog" is and why everyone is so hyped up about, then jump on board and take a look around. Blogging has quite literally opened the windows to the world via technology.

People around the world and from all walks of life are blogging. It's one word that young, old, rich, poor, and almost anyone somewhere in the middle has in common. So what is it?

Originally, weblogs, which is a term that has been shortened to 'blog', were essentially online journals that were kept in a log type format. These journals generally contained the most recent entry at the top and worked backwards from the newest to the oldest. They were originally personal pages only and not intended for commercial use. Over time that has changed but their origins were not monetarily driven.

Blogging was largely unheard of until 1999 when the media began paying attention to this new phenomenon. Incidentally, Blogger, a popular blogging platform, was also released in 1999 and was an almost instant success. Part of the immediate and massive success of Blogger is the fact that this program is not only easy to use but also allows users to interact with other Blogger bloggers through comments. It in essence created an even more tightly knit community of bloggers.

Weblogs have evolved in time from the original purpose or function, which was to point to other articles on the Internet. Many of the original web loggers are more than a little bit peeved by the new world order of bloggers.

The new blog is essentially an online journal or diary rather than something that points to information available online from other sources. It is no longer a community of people sharing information and has morphed into a community of teen angst and waterfront property sales sites. Many pioneers in this particular field feel that these changes aren't for the better.

Even today you can still find many blogs that are sticking to the original ideals. They point to information in other places and lead others on a merry chase around the Internet in search of knowledge and clarity. They site their sources and do not copy the works of others, they are purists and they offer a great service to those seeking information and enlightenment. There is nothing wrong with the original way of blogging; in fact it feels a void that is obvious in the rampant amount of misinformation being shared on the Internet.

Despite the value of these blogs, the fact remains that the newer generation of blogging doesn't appear to be going anywhere and as such it seems that the title of a blogger is going to be shared not only by those who offer informative services but also those sharing teen angst and the heartbreaks of divorce or even how much high heels really do hurt on prom night.

Regardless of whether you are interested in blogging as a sort of journal, a sales page, a moneymaking opportunity, or simply to share information and the process of freethinking with other like-minded people, there is a blog for that.

Blogging is extremely popular these days. And the most popular stand-alone blog engine is Wordpress. It is flexible, has many useful featires and there is a lot of eye-catching templates for it. But those who have a Wordpress blog must be aware of a serious problem that can cause your blog to be removed from Google's search results. The problem is: Duplicate Content.

WordPress content management system which, when used with the default configuration, is not duplicate content proof. In fact this CMS is capable to render almost 100% of your content duplicate. As usual the fault of the system has roots in its advantages. WordPress has many features facilitating blogging and linking, such as RSS feeds to posts and comments, trackback URLs, monthly archives and so on. In the same time this variety of URLs returning similar or identical pages represents a clear case of duplicate content.

WordPress And Duplicate Content

The first evidences of duplicate content produced by your WordPress CMS can be found in your sidebar. They are category pages and monthly/daily archives. Category pages store your articles posted under the same topic -- a category. Such pages have no unique content; they are just a collection of your previous posts. Monthly and daily archives also simply group your previous articles by the date of posting. Sometimes when you have only one post in a given day, the archive page for the date and your post are totally identical.

The next case of duplicate content is even more prominent. It can be your home page itself. If it contains not excerpts but the full text of your posts, then it duplicates your post pages. This also applies to the "next/previous entries" pages -- those accessible via /page/2, /3, /4 etc.

Feeds. Search engine spiders crawl all the content they can reach and of course this includes RSS feeds too. The additional problem with them is that Google may choose to display your RSS URL in the search results over the link to the original post. In this case the user who clicks this result will see an XML formatted page which is not "human-friendly".

Trackback URLs. Many WordPress templates add trackback links after posts. This links enable authors to track who links to their posts. Usually, if your post URL looks like "yoursite.com/2006-11-30/yourpost/" its trackback URL will be "yoursite.com/2006-11-30/yourpost/trackback/".

Identical meta-description. By default WordPress doesn"t provide a tool to add unique meta description tags to your posts, and they either have none or share a single site-wide description. Having no meta description at all is a disadvantage, as a properly written one can make your snippet stand out in a SERP. Having an identical description for all your pages is a threat, as Google might get them filtered out as too similar.

Because of the duplicate content Google search can return less desired URLs (such as feeds or archives instead of original posts); your pages can be moved out of their index, or placed into the supplemental results, which are rarely displayed to users.

There are literally thousands of things you can do to promote and advertise your website, here are just a few I have found to work for me.

1- Tell your audience what kind of support they'll get after they buy. It could be free consulting, tech support, free servicing, etc. This may also answer some of their buying questions ahead of time. People don't want to buy products without knowing you will be there to help if they have problems.

2- Ask people at the end of your copy why they decided not to buy. This will give you new ideas on how to produce ad copy that's more profitable. Have a web form or e-mail link in place so they can answer you. You may find out they don't like your guarantee or graphics. It could be anything.

3- Think of ways to get your site or business in the the news. You could sponsor a fundraiser, break a world record, hold a major event, etc. Simply write a press release about what you've accomplished, then send it to media outlets that cater to your target audience.

4- Hold a contest on your web site. Give other web sites the option of offering it to their visitors. This'll multiply your advertising all over the Internet. It would become a viral contest. Of course the contest must either be ongoing or held regularly so you could allow other online publishers to offer it to their visitors or subscribers.

5- Tell your potential customers that your ordering system is highly secure. Also reassure them that you take every effort to protect them. People want to feel they are safe online. They want to know that you care about their well-being. Tell them all about what you currently do for them to make them feel more secure.

6- Carry business cards with you wherever you go. Have your web address printed on them. You can hand them out to anyone you meet. Just think of all the people you meet on a regular basis: grocery clerks, post office workers, bag boys, family members, friends, salesmen/women, etc.

7- Contact national radio stations to ask them if they are looking for guest speakers. Tell them your area of expertise; maybe they'll book you for a show. Of course you would want to contact targeted stations and shows which would want to know more about you and your area of expertise.

8- Join clubs related to your area of business. You could trade leads with other businesses. Learn new ways to run your business and sell your products. You could also create your own online business club. You could provide private chat rooms, message boards, articles, etc.

9- Think of a domain name for your web site that's easy to remember. It should be related to what your business does, sells or provides. If there aren't any business names available, use your actual birth name. You could at least brand yourself. Your own name will give you credibility.

10- Position your web site at the top of pay-per-click search engines. You will only pay your set amount for each click-through you get to your web site. Just make sure your profits will pay for your advertising cost. If they won't, maybe you could share a web site with another related business and split the costs.

11- Allow your visitors or customers to increase your traffic or sales. Ask them how you can improve your business, web site or product. You can ask them at your web site, in your e-zine, on your message board, in your chat room, in your guest book, in your product packages, etc.

12- Team up with other e-zines that have the same target audience. Combine subscriber bases and then publish one e-zine together to increase subscribers. You could all include your ads and announcements in the e-zine. You could also take turns for the top advertising space.

13- Swap endorsement advertisements with other web sites. Endorsement ads usually pull more sales and traffic than regular advertisements. People have taught themselves to ignore advertisements because they see hundreds of them every day. Endorsements usually don't look or sound like normal ads.

14- Outsource part of your workload to save time and money. You can spend more of your time and money promoting your business. You'll save money on employee costs, space costs, training costs, etc. Keep the work you enjoy doing to keep you motivated and ship out the work you don't like.

15- Include a signature file on all the e-mails you send out. Provide your business name, phone number, e-mail and web address, etc. Also include a brief blurb for your business or the product you're selling. For example, you could say, "How To Wash Your Car In Two Minutes or Less!"

16- Use pictures or graphics on your web site that support the product you're selling. They could give your visitors a clearer vision of your product, the benefits of the product, people's emotion when they own the product, etc. You could also use 'before' and 'after' pictures.

17- Create a friendly, long-term relationship with all your customers. Practice good customer service and follow-up with them on a regular basis. You could follow-up with gifts, greeting cards, free things, coupons, special offers, reminders, your e-zine, helpful advice, etc.

18- Create strategic alliances with other web sites. You could exchange banner ads, sell each other's products as back-end products, cross-promote, etc. You could also create a web site together and promote it on your separate web sites. You would both just split the costs and profits.

19- Increase the perceived value of your product to skyrocket your sales. Add on free bonuses, after- sale services or an affiliate program. Other factors that would help are: your own domain name, a professional web design, a good-looking product graphic and persuasive ad copy.

20- Give customers a discount on their total order to increase sales. You could give them a discount for ordering over a set dollar or product amount. For example, you could say, "Buy over $39 worth of products and get a 20% discount on your order!" Another example, "Get a 15% discount if you order 3 or more products!"

21- Allow your visitors to reprint the content on your web site. Just ask them to include your resource box and a link to your site in exchange. This will turn your content into a traffic machine and the external links will help increase your ranking in some search engines.

22- Provide a free contest or sweepstake at your web site. It's a fact, people like to win things. If you can fulfill that need, people will visit. You can also attract them to revisit by holding one every week or month. You could also start an opt-in list for people who enter your contest or sweepstake so you can follow-up with them regularly.

23- Save time and money by using ad submitters. You will reach a larger part of your target audience far more quickly than by manually submitting your ad. You should manually submit your ad to the most popular web sites so you have a better chance of being listed or placed in a good position.

24- Create a good first impression. You will not be able to sell very many products if your visitors think your web site looks unprofessional. Use crisp graphics, attractive color combinations, a readable text size, even spacing, even margins, bold headlines, indent benefits, etc.

25- Stop procrastinating and start finishing all your business tasks. Do one at a time. Don't get caught up thinking that you can never get them all done. Make a list. Do the easiest or most crucial one first and move down the list. Cross off each task as you complete it.

26- Develop a relationship with all your visitors and customers. Tell them how much you appreciate them visiting your web site or buying your product. Invite them to online and offline events like free chat room classes, parties, dinner gatherings, business events, etc.

27- Hire a business coach to help improve you and your business. That could help increase your sales, motivate you, balance your workload, etc. It would be like renting an extra brain. You would have double the thinking power.

28- Stay away from being too comfortable with your income or life. You should always be making new goals for yourself and developing new sales ideas. The world keeps changing and if you pause too long, you might miss out. You only live once.

29- Make sure you don't become a workaholic. Your mind needs time away from your business life. This will help your brain think clearly while working. The best time to get profitable ideas is when you're not thinking about them. They just pop into your brain.

30- Create and follow short/long-term goals for your business. The short-term goals can create early success and the long-term goals can create future success. Design each goal so they all add up to your ultimate goal. Don't make your goals too unrealistic otherwise depression and frustration could move you farther away from them.

This title would then match the body content of the page. The page's content is a direct extension of the title. Good for readers, and good for search engines!

Blogging Wars - Wordpress Vs Blogger Part 1 by Gobala Krishnan

There's a war going on in the blogosphere, and it has nothing to do with bloggers dissing each other on their respective websites. The war is about control of the blogosphere by several great, many good, and tons of terrible blogging platforms. The average newbie now has "too many" options to choose from, and the battle for blogging supremacy is hotter than ever.

At my website and blogs, I'm always asked the question "Is Wordpress better than Blogger?". The answer, of course, is "Yes". But to really understand why, it's important to look at both blogging platforms side-by-side and see which one you really need.

You also need to understand that there are different versions of Wordpress, the earliest now termed as "Wordpress" at Wordpress.org, and the hosted version similar to Blogger now termed "Wordpress.com" which is of course available Wordpress.com. Only the latter comes with free hosting on a sub-domain account. We'll discuss this in Part 2.

For Part 1 of this article, we look only at the self-hosted version of Wordpress. Here's the comparison scale:

1) Ease of Set-up And Use

Yes, it's much easier to set-up a blog with Blogspot.com and get your own Bloggger account. You can be done in 10 minutes flat. Once you're set-up you can start posting immediately. If you want to add a designer's touch to your blog, there are also tons of blogger templates available for free.

Installing Wordpress however can be a major headache if you don't know what you're doing. Since you're going to host it on your own account, you'll need to download the installation files, upload them to your server, set-up a database, and run the configuration script.

However, if you know which hosting account to get, you can choose one with Cpanel included. With Cpanel, you can do a one-click installation, upgrade and removal of your Wordpress platform.

2) Customization & Advanced Use

Blogger doesn't allow categories. You can't sort your articles into different focuses, unless you know how to hack the platform. With Wordpress, not only can you add categories, you can also display each category differently on your main page. In fact with the correct plugins you can even turn your Wordpress into a magazine-like portal.

Publishing with Blogger can extremely furstrating. It can take forever to post articles, especially if you're making changes to the entire website. With Wordpress, publishing is much faster, although if you load your system with all kinds of bells and whistles it can be just as frustrating.

With a Blogger account, you can get additional features like "Shout Boxes" that improve interaction on your site. You can also get pretty themes and nifty little tools that you can add to the core template files. However, that's as far as you can go with Blogger.

With Wordpress however, the sky is the limit. As cliche as that may sound, not only can you get themes, additional "plugins" and advanced tools, you can also extend Wordpress to far beyond just a blogging platform.

The talk today is about using Wordpress as a complete, user-friendly Content Management System or CMS. Unlike complicated predecessors like PHPPostNuke, B2, Mambo or even Joomla, Wordpress is user friendly. Plus, the availability of source codes in this open-source system coupled with a strong community makes it possible to use Wordpress as an article management system, classifieds system, direct-selling site and even a paid membership site.

4) Copyrights and Ownership of Content

I started with Blogger and I won't say that it's bad. But after a while I started to get frustrated with Blogger, and here's why: Google Owns Your Content

Google has the authority to shut down your account without warning if they don't like what you're blogging about. You don't have absolute control over your own blog. With Wordpress, you own the domain name and the blog is hosted on your own account. You have full control over your content.

With the self-hosted version of Wordpress (not Wordpress.com), you're free to write about anything you want, and use the software in any way you want. Yes, Blogger allows you to publish to your own domain, but they still own the database that holds your content! Don't forget that!

5) Search Engine Optimization and Traffic

There's this propaganda that since Google owns Blogger, they tend to favor Blogger accounts. I won't say that this is illogical, but from my experience, there's no such favoritism.

I've heard as many stories of getting indexed fast and ranking high in search engines from both Wordpress and Blogger users. As long as the content is good, the spiders will come.

When you post in Blogger, you can only "ping" a limited amount of sites, whereas with Wordpress on your own domain you can ping as many blog directories as you want, and start getting more traffic.

As a conclusion, I would say that Wordpress is only slightly ahead in terms of optimization for search engines, and building large amounts of traffic.

6) Money-Making Potential

There's no doubt that it's easier to get started with Google Adsense if you have a Blogger account. In fact you can now apply for Adsense from within a Blogger account. Not entirely surprising considering the fact that both are owned by the same company.

With Wordpress, it can get tricky. The default installation is not enough. You'll need a couple of plugins and even a better theme to really maximize the Adsense potential. However, this seems to be getting easier and there's even "Adsense revenue sharing" plugins around that allow you to share ad revenue with other contributors and writers for your blog.

When you start using Wordpress to build your Adsense websites, you'll soon discover what I mean. It's something you need to experience for yourself. I can tell you one thing though - when you go Wordpress, you don't go back.

What is the fundamental difference between a blogger and an Internet marketer? Is there any difference at all to begin with?

Since I had nothing better to do today, I decided to take the risk of being flamed by hate mail by telling you exactly where the line is drawn. While these are examples from the extreme ends of the online publishing spectrum, I believe you'll see my point by the end of this article.

Nowadays, almost every Internet marketer I know has a blog. However, none of them like to be called a blogger. Most bloggers on the other hand think they're Internet marketers. Those poor misguided souls.

Here's what fundamentally different between a blogger and a real Internet marketer making a living online:

1) Living on Search Engine Traffic

The most obvious trait I've seen in a blogger is their over-reliance on search engine traffic. In fact, probably the only way they know of getting visitors to their blogs is by getting a "degree" in Google, and spending all their time trying to please Big-G.

Internet marketers on the other hand see search engine traffic as just one component of their entire marketing campaign. They have access to a wider range of tools such as articles, joint-ventures, pay-per-click advertising and email marketing to mention a few. They have the knowledge to use them and they do so regularly.

2) Lack Of Control Over Their Mailing List

Another common trait of a blogger is the dependence on RSS subscription services like Feedburner to build a database of potential customers. they're content with the fact that by doing this they will never be able to send messages to their loyal readers other than what they post on their blogs.

When you get to a blog maintained by an Internet marketer, instead of seeing a "Subscribe by Feedburner" form, you'll see a "special offer" or reason to optin, followed by a customized form using Aweber or a similar service. By doing this, the Internet market captures the full details of his visitors and is free to send them emails that were never intended to be published on their blogs.

The Internet marketer also analyzes his list to determine their interests, and provides more value based on this findings. He masters his list and knows that they're his most important asset; not the blog.

3) Reluctance on Promoting Affiliate Products

I've seen so many bloggers state "That's my affiliate link" right after they post it on their blogs. It's almost as if they're afraid of their readers finding out that they somehow benefit by putting that link up. They feel guilty making money from others with an affiliate link, so they clearly brand it as such.

When adding a post to your blog you should always hyperlink your keywords back to your main page of your website. This in turn helps the search engines to find your site for a particular keyword. Once you have added a post to your blog you then must ping it as it is important to not only update your blog but also let people know about it.

The best ping sites for you to use to notify that you have infact added a post is either pingomatic.com or pingoat.com, I use pingoat as i find it is the better one of the two for me. You should try and blog and ping at least 3 times a day and ensure that you hyperlink your keywords if you have a website and if you dont have a website then use the bold, italic and underline tags on your keywords for your blog. An example would be if you had a blog on pregnancy and you were writing a blog on symptoms of pregnancy you would make the word pregnancy bold, italic, and underlined throughout your blog post. To find what keywords you should be highlighting in your blog posts go to google and do a search for the overture keyword selector tool and pop in your main keyword and it will give you a list of the variations that were searched for the month, try and target these phrases in your blog posts. Be careful only to use 2-4 keywords per post. You dont want to get done for spamming.

It is important in this day and age if you run a website to definately have a blog but you need to use it to its fullest potential. If you follow what I have outlined here you will find that your blog will bring you in a heap of traffic and relatively quickly.

Please do not post other peoples articles in your blog you need to keep the content fresh and you do not want to get into trouble with the search engines for duplicate content as they will sandbox your website. Content is the key and running a successful blog is a step in obtaining that key.

When marketing your product using email, it is EXTREMELY important to grab the attention of your prospects in the first sentence. If you fail to do so, they have a much lower chance of reading the rest of it.

The first sentence in this case is your subject line, and once you’ve enticed your readers to open your email, you still need to keep and hold their attention. If it doesn’t, you would lose them and your sale is lost.

#1 – Obvious Subject Line

Don’t be cute with your subject line. When you are selling something, plainly and simply tell them what it is you are selling and be ‘upfront’ with them. Be straightforward with the subject line.

If you trick your prospects into reading your email and using a ‘smart and clever’ subject line you’ll lose their trust. Sure you’ll get your email opened, but once they find that it’s something totally unrelated, it’s over for some of your prospects!

How do feel when someone tricks you and wastes your time?

That’s why it’s much more effective to have your subject line plain and obvious about what the rest of your email is about. Sure some people may not read your message, but that may be a good thing because that gives you an even more targeted audience.

#2 – The Agreement Opening

This technique is to get your subscribers into agreeing with you. Open with a statement in which everyone can agree. Make it so that your subscribers say “YES” in their mind.

For example, instead of:

“Do You Know How To Make $20,000 A Month Selling Vitamin Supplements?”

Use:

“Do You WANT To Know How To Make $20,000 A Month Selling Vitamin Supplements?”

In the first statement, most people will say no. However, in the second statement everybody will say yes! All I did was add two words to the statement to change the subscriber’s mindset.

Add some other facts that most people will readily agree on and then HIT them with your product. You’ve hypnotized your subscribers into the ‘YES’ mindset, and they will have a better chance of buying from you! Don’t you agree?

#3 – Personal Story Opening

Simply include something personal about yourself in the opening sentence so that your prospects can ‘sense’ that they are dealing with a real person instead of a faceless corporation.

Remember to make the opening brief. One sentence is all they need; they don’t need to know EVERYTHING about you. It is just to establish some ‘warmth and closeness’ to your prospects because some people respond better to that.

#4 – The Question Opening

Lead your subscribers by asking them a question, or a question posed by one of your subscribers. You can then address the question give out some information leading to the answer in the body of your message.

You are actually giving them good information, but your true intention is to eventually lead them to the solution (which is your product!). Finally, at the end, reveal the ‘true’ answer along with your sales pitch to close them! Pretty sneaky huh?

#5 – Build Anticipation Opening

This technique works very well with a more expensive product that you have to offer. In a lot of cases this will increase your response rates to your ‘expensive’ products by keeping your subscribers on their toes so that they can keep an eye on this product.

Additionally, it can help you measure the demand for the product to your subscribers before you spend your precious time creating it! Just be prepared to have a series of promotional messages ahead of time.

#6 – The ‘UPDATE’ Opening

Give your customers an update on all the new products that launched or being launched. Or share with your subscribers something new you’ve found or experienced.

For example:

“I’ve just found this 24 year old that made $343,0197 in 2 months by following these eight steps to wealth…”

To wrap things up, remember to grab your subscriber’s attention and make them want to read the rest of your message. So if you haven’t already, start getting your subscribers involved into reading your interesting email, hook them, and sell them!

Press Releases should not be daunting to anyone. Anyone who can write an article or plan a business letter should be able to write a press release.It takes planning and care, but done well enough it can hugely boost your publicity and sales.

Putting together a great website is only part of the equation to enjoying a successful online ecommerce experience. You must find a way to bring people to your website. Waiting for people to discover you can be a long, boring, and expensive experience. Whether you handle your own marketing or allow a professional to handle it for you, there are many options to consider.

First of all I should point out that you are not looking for “a” way; rather you are looking for a variety of ways to bring people to your website. There are many modes of communication available to you in accomplishing this task. Some are very inexpensive and others require considerable investment in both time and money. Which avenues to use depend on many factors.

You must first consider your ideal customer. Determine a typical core model of behaviors for people who are your most likely consumer. Do they watch a lot of TV? Listen to the radio? Or read newspapers and magazines? Are they “computer savvy” and use internet search engines daily? It is in understanding your target audience that you will best determine which modes of communication to concentrate on in your marketing strategies.

If your target group uses search engines as a major means for learning, shopping, and entertainment; you will want to concentrate a larger portion of your website marketing in the area of Search Engine Marketing (SEM). Personally, my marketing strategies include many venues for communicating to potential clients. Every printed piece of material that has my logo and business name on it also has my web address, including my yellow page ads! Each year I sponsor our local Girl Scouts for several events, including the Water Carnival parade. For my financial investment in paying the entry fee, I get to pull the float in front of several thousand people. You know, my vehicle just happens to have my company name, logo, and web address painted on the windows!

You must also consider, even live by your ROI . . . Return on Investment. Don’t spend more on advertising than it generates in income for you. This means that you must track your marketing efforts. Tracking is the only way you will be able to determine what pays off, and what doesn’t. It will also help you determine if minor adjustments need to be made. Sometimes the smallest of changes in an ad can result in tremendous gains.

There are so many opportunities available to market your website; it can be a bit overwhelming, but the rewards are tremendous! Go it alone, or hire a professional . . . . you just need to make sure you get it done!

The gurus keep telling us to get real and drive traffic to our websites via search engines, articles, blogs and a multitude of automated avenues that place cash in their bank accounts . Very few of them will recommend traffic exchanges (unless they happen to own one).But the truth is, many hundreds of thousands of people DO use traffic exchanges.

Those hundreds of thousands of people represent millions of dollars. Another truth, is that whilst the gurus may not recommend traffic exchanges, they use them all the time to grab business from the millions of surfers looking for internet success.

For these sufers, multiple pop-ups, pop-unders and time sucking image loading has been an issue they have had to live with in exchange for a bit of web traffic. Now they have something much worse to contend with. THE DREADED NEW VIDEO STREAMING CRAZE!

Traffic exchanges are backing up to the first off-ramp with video streaming splash pages. The gurus tell us this is the next best thing since the solar system was invented. Perhaps, from their point of view, this is correct. Long-suffering exchange surfers have to sit jammed up on their websites for an eternal age whilst the video loads. Of course, this extends the time the viewer sits on the page, which extends the time she has to decide to click in and become a capture.

However, I declare with joy in my heart, that a recent niche market poll that I conducted revealed I am not the only surfer in the world who hates video streaming. There is a lot of frustration out there in the surfers world. Possibly there are smashed computors,mangled modems and exploding blood vessels too.

Being hung up on some hard-sell splash page whilst a video nobody wants to watch is loading, is rage inducing to the point of not just clicking away, but also closing down the browser and taking taking the dog for a walk on a tranquil beach.

Video streaming is being marketed as the Marketing tool of the century, but if it is enraging potential customers, I fail to see the point in it. After all, it is the year 2006. TV and video was not invented last week. Animated footage is so old hat, we yawn through the Breaking news, so how to they expect us to grow breathless with excitement when we are forced to watch a video of a bank balance growing? Especially when it is not even MY bank balance!

If you really feel you do have to use viseo streaming, despite this very negative poll feedback, take this into consideration :

* Not everyone in the world has broadband.
* There is still a relatively large consumer base out there still running on dial-up.
* Even if only 5 percent of surfers were still on dial up, that adds up to a huge loss of potential profits for the simple fact is, video streaming on dial up is a special kind of hell that only mass murderers deserve!
* Not one dial up customer in my poll had ever waited for the program to load. 100 percent of them shut down their browsers rather than die of old age whilst the streaming loaded.
* That is 100% of 5 percent of the internet market you just lost!

If you have been using a lot of video streaming in your marketing , stick your head out the window for moment. What is that sound in the distance? I hope you can hear it. I think it is the sound of a giant congregation of angry surfers praying that your business busts!
